Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Antonio Augusto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dante Melendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dante Melendez!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Roosa Järviläinen and Arvi Lind.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Melendez moves out of range of the body kick.

Melendez throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Augusto tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Melendez is in Augusto's guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Melendez shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Augusto is trying to defend but Melendez finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Augusto has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
