Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kris Kringle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon The Blanket (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kris Kringle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jon The Blanket!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Blanket stuffs the takedown attempt from Kringle. Kringle gets slowly back to his feet.

Kringle has The Blanket up against the cage in a clinch.
The Blanket drops down looking for an ankle pick but Kringle pulls his leg out and moves away.
The Blanket shoots for a takedown but Kringle saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Kringle closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The Blanket is not content to let Kringle control the position.
The Blanket is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Kringle has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but The Blanket can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The Blanket thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The Blanket winds up and cracks Kringle with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kringle is not content to let The Blanket control the position.
The Blanket working over Kringle with some ground and pound. Kringle looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
The Blanket looks to land a strike but Kringle avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
The Blanket throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kringle works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Kringle throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

The Blanket chips away with some ground and pound.
The Blanket throws a strike but Kringle rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Kringle wants to control from the top but The Blanket keeps moving.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kringle won't allow The Blanket to get back to his feet.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kringle accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The Blanket pushes Kringle off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The Blanket misses with a takedown

and Kringle counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Kringle looking to sit in guard and control but The Blanket gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Kringle lands an upkick as The Blanket stands over him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Jon The Blanket will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Kringle is keen to just control but The Blanket is a slippery customer.

The Blanket tries to kick Kringle off but Kringle keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

The Blanket looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kringle is fending him off so far but The Blanket persists. Nope, Kringle circles away and we're back to standing.

Kris Kringle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jon The Blanket.
The Blanket has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Kringle after a bit of a struggle.
The Blanket is trying to drag Kringle to the mat but Kringle just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kringle escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
The Blanket is breathing heavily.

Kringle shoots in and gets a takedown into The Blanket's guard.
Kringle stops The Blanket from standing up.

The Blanket has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Kringle off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Kringle shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

and Kringle decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in The Blanket's guard.
Kringle will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

You get the feeling that The Blanket really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Kringle pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Kringle cracks The Blanket with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Kris Kringle showed his dominance in that final round.
