The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Richard Clark and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drake shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Esch napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The strikes coming from Drake are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Esch might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Esch is trying to control Drake's posture but Drake avoids it.
Drake postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Esch tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Drake wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Drake misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
