PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Po Panda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chew Bacca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Panda comes to the cage accompanied by Kung Fu Fighting by Carl Douglas. Bacca has chosen Chewbacca Noise as his entrance music. Chew Bacca will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Bacca enables Panda to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Bacca manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Panda is looking to advance position but Bacca has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Bacca tries to push Panda's head away but Panda is holding on tight.
Panda wants to hold on but Bacca pushes him away.
Panda tries to reverse the position but Bacca maintains control.

Panda keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Panda sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Panda is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Bacca's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Bacca's back!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Panda is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Panda gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Panda gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Panda apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Panda is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Panda uses his free foot to push down on Bacca's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Bacca.
Panda is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Bacca goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Panda!
