The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Tarja Halkonen and Johanna Lukiainen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alexander misses with a wild body shot.
Alexander misses with a lunging right hand
and Van der Laan counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Crunch! Van der Laan slams his shin into Alexander's torso.
Van der Laan clobbers Alexander with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Alexander swings for the body but Van der Laan moves out of range.
The fight stays on the outside here - Van der Laan looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Alexander is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Van der Laan.
Alexander keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Alexander lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Van der Laan circles away quickly and effectively.
Van der Laan slips a jab from Alexander.
Alexander takes a swing at Van der Laan's ribcage but misses.
Van der Laan ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Alexander avoids the head kick by Van der Laan.
Van der Laan keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Alexander misses with an uppercut.
Van der Laan looks to score with a jab to the body but Alexander is just out of range.

Van der Laan moves away from the strike by Alexander.
Van der Laan fails in his attempt to clinch.

Van der Laan lands a left and a right that send Alexander crashing to the mat, dazed. Van der Laan thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Alexander is rocked!
Van der Laan dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Alexander is still on wobbly legs! Can Van der Laan finish him?
Alexander looks gassed!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Van der Laan fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Alexander drops his hands momentarily and Van der Laan needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Alexander just on the top of the head. Alexander drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Alexander - he's done!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Andre Van der Laan!
