Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Renan Barao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Evan White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barao looks to land a body kick but White moved away.
White gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Barao counters with an inside leg kick.
Barao lands with a thumping leg kick.
Barao throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Barao throws a sloppy head kick and White moves out of range easily.
Barao connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between White's hands.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

White changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Barao fights it off and pushes away nicely.

and Barao counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Barao.
Barao tried to land a shot to the body but connects with White's elbow.

White is trying to drag Barao to the mat but Barao just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

White gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
White seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Barao does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

White is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Barao doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time White.

White is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Barao defends it well.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

White has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Barao is defending well but eventually White manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Barao has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
