PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Liam Igo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Walker has chosen Eminem - Lose Yourself as his entrance music. The key to victory for Liam Igo has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Liam Igo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alex Walker!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Nard Betker and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Igo tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Walker decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Igo's guard.

Igo throws his legs up looking for a submission but Walker uses it to pass to side control.

Walker working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Walker misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Igo is looking for a sweep.
Walker is putting a hurting on Igo here, landing some big shots from side control.
Walker has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Walker might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Igo kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Walker fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Igo sprawls well initially but Walker persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Walker got a little sloppy there for a moment and Igo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Walker has managed to get both his arms back between Igo's legs - danger averted.
