Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kenny Gomi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pete Sproles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gomi comes to the cage accompanied by Slaap lekker!. Sproles comes into a darkened arena with his song building. can't be touched -Roy Jones Jr kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomi shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Sproles napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Sproles wants to get back to his feet but Gomi drags him back down.
Sproles manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Sproles seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Sproles tries to work over Gomi's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Gomi swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Gomi struggles to land a body shot inside as Sproles controls his hands.
Sproles pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Sproles fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Gomi sprawls well initially but Sproles persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Gomi tries to roll over but Sproles keeps him under control.

Gomi moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Gomi has his hands on Sproles's head, controlling the position.
Sproles got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gomi has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sproles has managed to get both his arms back between Gomi's legs - danger averted.

Gomi maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Sproles could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Gomi has cracked it and Sproles is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Gomi!
