The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guida fails with a takedown attempt.

Guida feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Guida stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kazama swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kazama escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Guida gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Kazama pushes a forearm under Guida's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Guida is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
