Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Sydney Bussel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brutus Maximus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maximus throws a hook but Bussel avoids it easily.
Maximus is looking to slow Bussel down with leg kicks.

Maximus lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

That was a close round but I would say that Sydney Bussel will probably get the nod.

Maximus will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Bussel really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Brutus Maximus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bussel seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.

Brutus Maximus showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
