Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joe Davison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Doe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davison comes into the arena with Nowhere to run blaring out of the sound system. Joe Davison has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Joe Davison!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 14 - 0, fighting out of London, John Doe!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Chris Edwards and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doe misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Doe pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Doe throws a head kick but Davison moves out of range.
Doe lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Doe throws a head kick but Davison moves out of range.
Davison throws out a loose jab but Doe uses good head movement to avoid it.
Davison fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Doe misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Doe tries to clinch but Davison is having none of it.
Doe throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Doe forces Davison back against the ropes and clinches.

Doe's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Davison throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Doe misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Doe ducks under a wild hook from Davison.

Davison swings widly with a right hand
and Doe counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Doe shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Doe is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Davison defends it well.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Davison swings wildly with an uppercut but Doe uses good head movement to avoid it.

Davison escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

No joy there for Davison, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Doe fails in his attempt to clinch.

Doe fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Davison, pushing him back against the ropes.
Davison throws a punch but it's blocked by Doe.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Doe wants to pass the guard but Davison is keeping the position.
Davison looking for a sweep. Not yet Davison, not yet.

Doe wants to control from the top but Davison keeps moving.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by John Doe.
Sloppy strikes from Davison. Those never looked like landing.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Davison has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Doe finds it's way round the side to connect with Davison's head.

and Doe holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Doe lands with a short head shot on the inside.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but John Doe will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Doe tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Davison swivels and escapes.

Doe plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Davison looks to score with a jab to the body but Doe is just out of range.

Doe throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Davison feints a jab promting Doe to slip. Davison then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Doe slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Doe shoots in looking for a takedown. Davison tries to sprawl out of it but Doe keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Davison manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Doe lands a nice shot that snaps Davison's head back.
