PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Josh Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paqa Fofo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Burns comes into the arena with Barren Earth - Deserted Morrows blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Andrew Berry and James Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fofo misses with a takedown
and Burns counters with a straight right hand.

Burns clinches.

Burns has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Fofo regains guard immediately.
Fofo has momentary wrist control but Burns slips an elbow through the middle.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Fofo trying to keep a closed guard but Burns is proving a slippery customer.
Fofo is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Burns is in close to Fofo's body, working some short punches and elbows.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Burns lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Burns loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Burns is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Burns trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Burns trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Fofo manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!

Burns pushes Fofo off and scrambles back to his feet.
Burns tries a head kick but it misses.

Burns pushes Fofo up against the ropes in a clinch.
Burns lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Fofo letting Burns take a breather here.
Fofo tries to circle away but Burns has him pinned against the ropes.
Burns jerks Fofo's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Fofo drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Burns goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Burns because Fofo was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
