Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Eduardo Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva has chosen Danza Kuduro as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Paulo Santos and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva tries to clinch but Souza moves out of range.
Silva wants to clinch up but Souza keeps it at a distance.
Silva misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Souza feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Souza stops Silva from standing up.
Souza postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Silva is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Souza, into his guard.
Souza seems keen to control Silva's posture.
Souza's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Souza fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Silva sprawls well initially but Souza persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Souza is looking for a kimura but Silva is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Souza to get the leverage.
Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Souza. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Silva wants to control but Souza is keeping busy.
Souza prevents Silva from standing back up.

Souza is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Silva is just riding it out for now. Souza eventually gives up the hold.

Silva is trying to escape back to his feet but Souza uses the scramble to pass into side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Souza has an Americana. Silva didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Souza is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Souza hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
