Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ben Poslett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kota Punga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Poslett's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Kashmir - Led Zeppelin. Ben Poslett has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poslett takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Poslett looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Punga works Poslett's body with a nice hook.
Punga misses with an uppercut. Poslett saw that one coming.
Poslett misses with a takedown
and Punga makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Poslett really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Punga throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Poslett is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Punga throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and Punga makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Punga goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Poslett shoots in for a double leg but Punga sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Poslett is looking to take a break and control but Punga is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Poslett seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Punga does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Poslett enables Punga to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Poslett manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Poslett will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Poslett stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Punga swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Poslett got a little sloppy there for a moment and Punga has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Poslett has managed to get both his arms back between Punga's legs - danger averted.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Punga is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Poslett defends well.

Poslett not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Poslett throws a low kick but Punga avoids it.
Punga tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Punga looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Punga misses with a jab, cross combination.
Kota Punga seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Punga throws a push kick but Poslett slaps the foot to one side.
Punga pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Poslett shoots in and bounces Punga off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Poslett is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Poslett wants to control from the top but Punga keeps moving.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Poslett looking to sit in guard and control but Punga gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Poslett prevents Punga from improving his position.

Poslett wants to work for an arm triangle but Punga is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Kota Punga will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Punga uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Poslett has time to react.
Punga throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Poslett stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Poslett takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Punga throws a sloppy head kick and Poslett moves out of range easily.
Poslett looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Poslett is trying hard to land a takedown here. Punga sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Punga throws a right and a left that Poslett avoids nicely.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Poslett bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Punga is not content to let Poslett control the position.

Punga striking off his back but it's not causing Poslett any problems.

Poslett drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Poslett as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Punga screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Poslett! Nice submission victory there!
