Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ste McGhee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Tosh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tosh has chosen Big Ass Bear as his entrance music. Ste McGhee could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Daniel Tosh's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ste McGhee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Daniel Tosh!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, George Francis and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tosh tries to close the distance and clinch but McGhee swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Tosh pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Tosh moves into the clinch.
McGhee has Tosh pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Tosh manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
McGhee has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Tosh is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Tosh decides to pull guard.
McGhee throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
McGhee working some strikes from top position.
McGhee working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Tosh avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
McGhee has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

McGhee throws a strike but Tosh rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

McGhee has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Tosh off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Tosh darts in and clinches McGhee up against the ropes.
McGhee gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Tosh.

McGhee has hold of one of Tosh's legs. Tosh is fighting the takedown attempt but McGhee gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

McGhee drops back, looking for a kneebar! Tosh looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Tosh looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Tosh!
McGhee tries to escape but Tosh is in control.
McGhee is breathing heavily.

Tosh tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
McGhee is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McGhee avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Tosh.
McGhee is trying to control Tosh's posture but Tosh avoids it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

McGhee avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
McGhee shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Tosh as he jumps to the side.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Tosh changes levels and goes for a takedown here. McGhee fights it off and pushes away nicely.
McGhee avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Tosh tries to clinch but McGhee is having none of it.
Tosh doesn't manage to clinch there - McGhee circles away.

McGhee is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Tosh pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Tosh has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. McGhee avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
McGhee is trying to drag Tosh to the mat but Tosh just about manages to keep his footing. He used the ropes to his advantage there.
McGhee is defending well against a takedown attempt.
McGhee has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Tosh after a bit of a struggle.

Tosh has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but McGhee can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

McGhee keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Tosh's head.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A close second round but Daniel Tosh will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Nice takedown defense from Tosh. No joy for McGhee on that attempt.

Ste McGhee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McGhee changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tosh tries to avoid it but McGhee manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tosh to the ground. Tosh escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

McGhee is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Tosh is controlling him.
Tosh postures up in McGhee's guard and throws a big left but McGhee blocks it.

Tosh drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but McGhee manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Tosh has McGhee in his guard.

Tosh looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but McGhee is defending well. Tosh quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! McGhee has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Tosh celebrates on the ropes, with the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:52 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Daniel Tosh!
After winning the bout, Daniel Tosh thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
