The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Tarja Halkonen and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monfriesz throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Wyatt shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Monfriesz is looking for a sweep. Wyatt is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Monfriesz on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Wyatt feints and then cracks Monfriesz's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Monfriesz down.

Wyatt uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Monfriesz.
Wyatt fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Monfriesz sprawls well initially but Wyatt persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Wyatt's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Wyatt seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Monfriesz for as long as he can get away with.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Wyatt throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Monfriesz's waist but Monfriesz gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wyatt off to one side.
