Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Roy van Persi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hacky Sack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). van Persi comes to the cage accompanied by Wolfsheim. Sack has chosen Sweet home alabama as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sack jabs van Persi right on the nose. van Persi blinks but takes it well.

Sack connects with a single shot there.
van Persi ducks under a wild hook from Sack.

Sack ducks down and throws a hook to the body but van Persi moves away.
Sack throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Sack throws a looping overhand right but van Persi ducks down to avoid it.
Sack connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between van Persi's hands.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
van Persi will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Sack stuffs the takedown.
Sack throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

and van Persi counters with a shoot takedown. Sack fights it but they end up in guard.
Sack looking to hit a scissor sweep but van Persi is one step ahead there.
van Persi controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Sack working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. van Persi doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. van Persi manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Sack looking for a guillotine here but van Persi defends easily.
van Persi trying to control the position from guard on top but Sack is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
van Persi is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Sack is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
van Persi loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

van Persi drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Sack dives on top into guard.

Sack wants to control from the top but van Persi keeps moving.

van Persi escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sack gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Sack postures up and lands a big shot to van Persi's brow.

van Persi is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sack defends well.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Sack sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed van Persi's guard.
van Persi tries to get to full guard but Sack has control of the leg.
Sack is looking to take a break and control but van Persi is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Sack missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

van Persi utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

van Persi controls Sack momentarily but Sack frees himself.

van Persi wants to sweep here but Sack controlling him for the moment.
van Persi wants to hit a switch here but Sack passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for van Persi there!
van Persi is working to get back to half guard.
Sack is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. van Persi can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

van Persi holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Sack tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

This has been an exciting period of action!
van Persi is bucking up trying to escape but Sack cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sack drops a big elbow. That's hurt van Persi! More shots from Sack and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
