And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nick Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Patrick Alders and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mitas clinches.

Diaz is fighting off a takedown attempt but Mitas is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Diaz to the mat. Diaz regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Mitas tries to free his leg and advance position but Diaz is retaining full guard.

Diaz is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mitas defends well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Diaz looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

and Mitas counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Diaz's guard now.

Diaz escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mitas gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Mitas is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Diaz has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Mitas is looking to defend but Diaz has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Mitas! Diaz pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Mitas taps out and this one is all over!
