The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Aleksandr Martynov and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emmerich defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Soloman.
Emmerich pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Emmerich is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Soloman postures up in Emmerich's guard and throws a big left but Emmerich blocks it.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. James Soloman wasn't active enough on the ground.

Soloman jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Emmerich manages to avoid the submission attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Emmerich is not content to let Soloman control the position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Emmerich wants to get back to his feet.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Soloman fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Emmerich avoids it really well and circles away.
Soloman shoots in for a double leg but Emmerich sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Emmerich tries to clinch but Soloman moves out of range.
Soloman has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Soloman fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
