The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCallum throws a jab when Alves was well out of range.
McCallum lands a head kick. Alves smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

It looks like Danilo Alves has been cut.

It looks like Conor McCallum has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A slow jab from Alves misses its intended target.
McCallum lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Alves staying out of range there.
McCallum slaps away a takedown attempt from Alves, before circling back to the center of the mat.
McCallum swings away with a leg kick that misses.
McCallum fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Alves.
Alves steps to the side to avoid the strikes from McCallum.
Alves moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Alves moves forwards but McCallum connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Alves fails to land with a series of punches.
Alves scores with a spinning back kick!
McCallum jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A head kick misses from Alves.
McCallum tries to clinch but Alves moves out of range.

Nice combo by Alves! Oh, that's hurt him - McCallum falls to the canvas and Alves follows him into side control.

McCallum is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Alves lands a strong strike to the head of McCallum. That's dazed him! Alves looking to finish here. McCallum is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Alves lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
