The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dean throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Mohammad on the side of the head.

It looks like Hassan Mohammad has been cut.
Dean cracks Mohammad with a good jab.
Mohammad lands a body shot.
Mohammad misses with a body shot
and Dean counters with a good low kick that Mohammad was not able to check.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dean misses with an uppercut.
Dean takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Mohammad is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Dean.
Dean buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Mohammad chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Dean can pounce on him.
Dean scores with a shot to the body.
Mohammad is breathing heavily.
Mohammad takes one on the button.
Dean lands with an overhand left.
A thudding body kick lands there by Dean!
Dean shoots in looking for a takedown. Mohammad tries to sprawl out of it but Dean keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Mohammad manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Dean connects with the punch.

Dean lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Dean tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Mohammad throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Dean works the jab nicely.

Dean connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Dean waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Mohammad. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Mohammad to the canvas! Can he finish him!?

Hassan Mohammad's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Dean tries to free his leg and advance position but Mohammad is retaining full guard.

Dean postures up in Mohammad's guard and throws a big left but Mohammad blocks it.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Dean loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Dean is looking to work some ground and pound but Mohammad has wrist control.
Dean throwing strikes from guard but Mohammad blocks nicely.
Dean stands up over Mohammad, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Jeez, Hassan Mohammad's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Hassan Mohammad's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
