Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sydney Gartner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Piotrowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Robert Piotrowski will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gartner looks to score with a jab to the body but Piotrowski is just out of range.
Piotrowski tries to clinch up but Gartner circles away and keeps his distance.
Gartner takes one on the button.

Gartner closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Piotrowski did well to prevent Gartner getting side control.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Gartner looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Gartner has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Piotrowski tries to kick Gartner off in order to stand up. Gartner Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Gartner is putting a hurting on Piotrowski here, landing some big shots from side control.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Gartner lands a nice forearm strike.

It looks like Robert Piotrowski has been cut.

Gartner creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Piotrowski really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gartner. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
