These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ballantine connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

A big left from Ballantine misses.
Boxo thows a left - swing and a miss!
Nice body kick there by Boxo.
That kick from Boxo tenderised Ballantine's leg. Ballantine is trying to keep his angry face on.
Ballantine tries to close the distance and clinch up but Boxo swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Boxo tries to work over Ballantine's front leg with a kick but Ballantine checks it.
Boxo takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Ballantine gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Boxo.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Boxo scores with a crisp jab that stopped Ballantine in his tracks.
Ballantine turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Boxo has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Boxo throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ballantine sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Boxo throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

Boxo stuns Ballantine with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Ballantine is breathing heavily.
Ballantine feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Boxo's calf.
An inside leg kick lands from Boxo.
Nice uppercut lands for Boxo. That snapped Ballantine's head back.
Boxo fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Ballantine checks it well.
A left lands for Boxo.
Ballantine takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Ballantine is rocked!
Boxo uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ballantine.
Oh Ballantine is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Johnie Ballantine seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ballantine lands with a hook. Boxo tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Ballantine seems to have got his legs back now.
Ballantine misses with an uppercut
and Boxo makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Ballantine misses with a double jab
and Boxo cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Boxo drops Ballantine with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Ballantine! Boxo dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
