Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mariusz Tomb (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Burt Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tomb changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Black looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Tomb misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Black is looking to regain half guard here but Tomb keeps moving and retains side control.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

Black really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tomb. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Tomb has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Black shoots in for a takedown but Tomb shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Tomb is really struggling to control Black but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Tomb wants to control the position but Black says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Black is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Tomb sees it coming and defends easily.

Black wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tomb keeps working.

Black goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Tomb has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Black but great work by Tomb.
Tomb really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Tomb is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Black to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Black shrugs it off.

Tomb is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!

Tomb throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Tomb throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Tomb shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Black's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Black preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Tomb thows a big elbow that misses.
Black not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Black throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Tomb escapes and throws Black's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Tomb just content to control the position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Tomb is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Black has escaped the position, nice work there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Black is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Tomb is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Black's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Black's back!
Black has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Tomb.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

I really don't envy Black right now.

Tomb has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Black tries to escape but Tomb has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Tomb throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.
Tomb biding his time, controlling Black.
Black is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Tomb off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

Tomb is cranking Black's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Black! He's tightened the choke and Black is tapping out!
