Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shamus McFey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Flash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Shamus McFey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Jeff Flash!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Atkins and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McFey dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Flash. That did some damage!
Flash scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

Flash drives through with a takedown into McFey's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
McFey really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill...
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Flash wants to pass the guard but McFey is keeping the position.
McFey is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
McFey might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

McFey has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Flash can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Flash throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

McFey has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Flash is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for McFey.
Flash trying to control the position but McFey is working away.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Flash working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Flash tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Flash throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Flash wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by McFey, who protects the arm well.
Flash scoring with punches and elbows.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The ground and pound from Flash seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
McFey takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Flash looking to control but instead McFey has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Flash slips a nice elbow through McFey's hands, connecting with McFey's forehead.
Flash thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing McFey to regain full guard.
Flash is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Flash trying to control the position from guard on top but McFey is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
McFey looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Flash slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Flash scores with punches from side control.
McFey taking a bit of punishment here - Flash scoring with strikes.
Flash in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
McFey is trying to get back to half guard.
McFey can't do much from the bottom here.
Flash has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Flash tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Flash has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Flash throws an elbow but McFey slips to the side and avoids it well.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
McFey takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Flash advances to mount.
The referee warns McFey that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Flash looking to control and managing it successfully.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Flash breaks from McFey's wrist control and lands an elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jeff Flash dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Flash lands with a cross.
Good work by Flash as he checks the leg kick.
Flash thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on McFey if he has to take too many more of those.
Good leg kick by McFey there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

McFey tries to sprawl but Flash drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Flash is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Flash lands a big shot there that rocks McFey but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

McFey holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Flash tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Flash is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Flash is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. McFey can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Flash looking to control but McFey is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
McFey is working to get back to half guard.
Flash scores with a couple of good head shots there.


McFey is rocked!
Flash cracks McFey with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:01 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jeff Flash!
Jeff Flash tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
