The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leonardo attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Leonardo dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
A right-left combo lands from Leonardo.
Jab, jab by Bungholz - just one landing.
Leonardo falls off balance throwing a combination
and Bungholz counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Leonardo takes a swing at Bungholz's ribcage but misses.

Leonardo misses with a straight left.
Leonardo throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bungholz.
Bungholz shoots for a takedown but Leonardo saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Leonardo throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Leonardo finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Leonardo throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Bungholz shoots in but Leonardo avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Leonardo bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Bungholz moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Leonardo just misses with a punch to the body.
Leonardo keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Leonardo swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Leonardo is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Bungholz rather than just go for the knockout.
Leonardo throws a series of strikes that have Bungholz backpedaling.
Bungholz walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Bungholz throws a nice looking combination but Leonardo bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Bungholz loads up on a big right hand but Leonardo slips the punch.
Bungholz throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Leonardo sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Kimo Leonardo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Leonardo avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Bungholz shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Leonardo counters with a right hand to the body.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Touchin Bungholz. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Leonardo cracks Bungholz with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Leonardo misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Leonardo lands with an uppercut that bounces Bungholz off the cage and back into range.

Leonardo throws out a loose jab but Bungholz uses good head movement to avoid it.
Bungholz moves out of range of the body kick.

Leonardo swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Kimo Leonardo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The fighters circle momentarily. Leonardo darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Bungholz is rocked!
A looping hook to the body misses from Bungholz. Leonardo does a little dance to reset his feet.
Oh Bungholz is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bungholz uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Leonardo.
Leonardo connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Bungholz momentarily.
Bungholz shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Leonardo pinned against the cage. Leonardo gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Bungholz. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Leonardo throws a right and a left that both miss.
Leonardo misses with a body kick.
Leonardo throws a head kick but Bungholz moves out of range.
Bungholz shoots in and drives through. Leonardo sprawls well.
The fighters circling - Bungholz throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Leonardo lands with a cross.
An inside leg kick lands from Leonardo.
Bungholz throws a series of punches but Leonardo avoids them all with ease.
Leonardo is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Bungholz had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Leonardo missing with a left hand there. Bungholz was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Leonardo fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Bungholz looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Leonardo misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Bungholz.
Leonardo pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Bungholz back to the cage. Leonardo follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Leonardo looks to land a body kick but Bungholz moved away.
Leonardo cracks Bungholz with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Bungholz tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Leonardo pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Bungholz is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
