Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steven Stepp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Moony (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stepp kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Wherever I May Roam . Moony comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Kasabian- Where did all the love go kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Steven Stepp could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to James Moony's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Steven Stepp!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, James Moony!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Sam Margolis and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stepp lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Moony changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Stepp tries to avoid it but Moony manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Stepp to the ground. Stepp escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Moony takes a jab right on the kisser.


It looks like James Moony has been cut.
Stepp looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Moony is fending him off so far but Stepp persists. Nope, Moony circles away and we're back to standing.
Moony misses with a few strikes there.
Moony misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A combination from Moony does no damage.
Moony tries to clinch but Stepp is having none of it.
Moony on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Stepp slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Moony tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Stepp swivels and escapes.

Stepp looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Moony is fending him off so far but Stepp persists. Nope, Moony circles away and we're back to standing.

and Moony counters with a nice double leg into side control. Stepp won't be happy with that.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Stepp tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Moony wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Moony is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Stepp has escaped the position, nice work there.
You can see the frustration on Stepp's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Stepp manages to work his way to half guard, despite Moony's best efforts.
Stepp wants to sweep but Moony has passed to side control!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Moony wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Stepp, who protects the arm well.
Moony tries to stand but Stepp is controlling his head.

Stepp manages to get back to half guard.
Moony is thwarting Stepp's attempts to control the position.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Steven Stepp.
Stepp throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Moony's waist but Moony gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Stepp off to one side.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Stepp accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Moony manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Stepp manages to get himself to full guard.
Moony postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Moony stands up from Stepp's guard - Moony perhaps looking for a knockout.
Moony tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Stepp paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Moony dives in and scores a takedown into Stepp's guard.
Stepp seems keen to control Moony's posture.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Stepp got a little sloppy there for a moment and Moony has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Stepp has managed to get both his arms back between Moony's legs - danger averted.

Moony escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Stepp gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Stepp lands a couple of elbows.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Stepp's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Stepp stands up over Moony, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Stepp loads up on a big left hand. Moony felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Stepp looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Moony can't hide his disappointment, as Stepp celebrates the victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Steven Stepp!
An out of breath Steven Stepp thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
