The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Himmelman checks the leg kick.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Himmelman walks forward, straight into a front kick from Pops.
Pops throws a wild body kick that Himmelman sees coming a mile off.
Pops moves in looking to clinch but Himmelman pushes him off.

Himmelman could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Pops lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Pops throws a head kick that misses.
Pops misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Himmelman swats away the attempt to clinch by Pops.

Pops slips a jab and a cross from Himmelman .
Pops tries to bum rush Himmelman with a series of wild strikes but Himmelman uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

It looks like Trevor Pops has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Pops is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Pops is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Himmelman sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Pops's guard.

Himmelman wants to break the clinch but can't.
Pops looking to throw knees to the head but Himmelman is blocking nicely.
Pops has had enough of the clinch but Himmelman keeps him there for the moment.
Pops keeps control of Himmelman as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Pops wants to get back to striking at distance but Himmelman won't allow it.
Himmelman wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Pops has him pressed against the cage.

OH! Pops has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Himmelman smells blood and charges in for the finish! Himmelman unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of Pops sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!

Garrett Himmelman spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a big arrogant.
