PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Snow Crash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brain Damage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Damage has chosen Notorious B.I.G - Kick In The Door as his entrance music. Brain Damage told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crash looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Crash knocks Damage to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!?

It looks like Brain Damage has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Crash working the ground and pound from side control.
Crash misses with the ground and pound.
Damage seems a little lost for a moment, as Crash dominates the positioning.
Crash has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Crash controls the position.
Damage is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Damage looks gassed!

Crash seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Damage for as long as he can get away with.

Crash throws a strike aimed at the side of Damage's head but Damage avoids it well.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Damage can do anything to dispel that myth.

Crash happy to just control the position for now.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Snow Crash.

Crash shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Crash is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Crash throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Crash trying to mount his opponent but Damage defends it.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Crash connects with a nice short shot to Damage's temple.

Crash slows the pace down in half guard.
Crash scoring with strikes to the body and head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Crash works his way into full mount!
Crash lands a nice shot to the head.

The cut man is working on Brain Damage's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Crash throws a hook but Damage blocks it.
Damage falls off balance throwing a combination

and Crash shoots in, scooping Damage off his feet. Crash is holding his opponent over his shoulder. He slams Damage to the mat and Damage is in big trouble! Crash is landing strikes to his unconscious foe and the ref dives in to end the fight! Crash is celebrating with his corner and rightfully so.
