Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Makers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Mendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Makers cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Mendez dives in and grabs Makers's left leg, looking for a takedown. Makers pushes down on Mendez's head and hops out.
Makers throws a looping overhand right but Mendez ducks down to avoid it.
Mendez closes the distance and clinches up with Makers, looking for a takedown. Mendez pushes Makers against the cage but Makers circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Makers is pressed up against the cage. Mendez has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Makers down to the mat. Makers avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Mendez uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Makers.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
