The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Escudero scores with a jab.
Nasri on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Nasri fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Escudero avoids it really well and circles away.
Escudero misses with a jab, cross combination.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Nasri is defended easily by Escudero.
Nice sprawl there from Escudero as Nasri shoots in.

Nasri ducks under a wild hook from Escudero.

Robbie Escudero is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and Nasri counters with a nice double leg into side control. Escudero won't be happy with that.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Nasri fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Escudero is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Escudero tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Nasri wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Nasri decides to stand back up. Nasri steps back and let's Escudero get back to his feet.

Nasri has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
