Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Yoshi Chiba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ralle Pihl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pihl has chosen Run to the hills as his entrance music. Ralle Pihl has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Yoshi Chiba!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ralle Pihl!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Steve Erwin and Winston Howard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chiba keeps the fight on the outside.

Pihl gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Pihl gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Pihl with the ground and pound but Chiba uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Pihl is looking to stand up but Chiba won't let him.
Pihl stops Chiba from standing up.
Pihl missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Chiba knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pihl on the ground.
Pihl wants to stand but Chiba is controlling his posture from full guard.

Chiba has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Pihl off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Pihl tries to clinch up
and Chiba counters with a slapping leg kick.

Pihl tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Chiba manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
A big right from Chiba misses.
Pihl is looking to clinch but Chiba is avoiding it.

and Chiba counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Pihl lands a nice hook to Chiba's body. Chiba takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Pihl tries for a takedown but Chiba circles away easily
and Chiba makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Pihl looks gassed!
Pihl tries to close the distance and clinch but Chiba swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Chiba misses with an uppercut. Pihl saw that one coming.

and Chiba counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Pihl tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Chiba paws at him with a jab and circles away.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Pihl throws a head kick that misses.
Pihl tries to clinch up but Chiba circles away and keeps his distance.

Pihl tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Chiba swivels and escapes.
Chiba misses with a hook.

Pihl ducks under a wild hook from Chiba.

and Chiba cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Chiba misses with an uppercut.
Chiba circles away from the clinch attempt.
Pihl moves in looking to clinch but Chiba pushes him off.

Pihl scores with a nice strike.

Chiba throws a lazy right hand but Pihl sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Pihl shoots in for a double leg but Chiba sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Yoshi Chiba has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ralle Pihl.
Pihl steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Chiba.
Pihl fails with an attempt to clinch.
Pihl tries to close the distance and clinch up but Chiba swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Chiba counters with a perfectly timed head kick, knocking Pihl out cold! Wow, that took some serious skill and not a little luck! Chiba is taking it in his stride though, strolling around like it's no big deal. What a guy.
