Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Takeshi Yuudai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Elijah Cao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Takeshi Yuudai has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Takeshi Yuudai!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Elijah Cao!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Damien Edna and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cao rushes Yuudai and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Yuudai blocks a punch to the side of the head.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Cao.
Yuudai tries to throw a body punch but Cao avoids it by throwing Yuudai back against the cage.
Cao lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Yuudai creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Yuudai misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Yuudai pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Yuudai uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Cao.
Cao throws a jab but it's blocked by Yuudai.
Cao avoids the body shot from Yuudai.
Yuudai works Cao's body with a nice hook.
Yuudai feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Caos jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Yuudai walks into a straight right hand from Cao.

Yuudai drives through with a takedown into Cao's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Yuudai trying to control the position from guard on top but Cao is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Yuudai trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cao has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Cao looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Cao escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Yuudai gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Yuudai accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Yuudai trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Cao working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Yuudai doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Yuudai manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Cao looking for a sweep. Not yet Cao, not yet.
Yuudai trying to control the position from guard on top but Cao is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Yuudai looking to pass the guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Yuudai stands and throws Cao's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Cao is looking to regain half guard here but Yuudai keeps moving and retains side control.
Yuudai cracks Cao with an elbow. That is naaassty.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Yuudai throws a strike aimed at the side of Cao's head but Cao avoids it well.
Cao manages to work his way to half guard, despite Yuudai's best efforts.
Yuudai missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cao looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Cao slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Cao working for a triangle but Yuudai defends it easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Yuudai passes easily into side control. Nice work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Yuudai throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
The strikes coming from Yuudai are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Cao sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Yuudai thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Cao's head.
The fighters are battling for position here. Cao manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Yuudai works over Cao with some ground and pound from guard.
Yuudai wants to control from the top but Cao keeps moving.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Yuudai preventing the sweep.
Yuudai throwing strikes from guard but Cao blocks nicely.
Yuudai postures up.

Yuudai is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Cao is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Cao has escaped and now he's on top!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cao postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Yuudai controlling the position.
Cao wants to control from the top but Yuudai keeps moving.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Takeshi Yuudai will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Cao swings widly with a right hand
and Yuudai counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Yuudai shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Cao is pressing down on Yuudai's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Cao avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Yuudai wants to pass the guard but Cao is keeping the position.
Yuudai scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Yuudai pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Cao is keeping the position for now.
Cao looking to hit a scissor sweep but Yuudai is one step ahead there.
Yuudai trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Cao has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Yuudai can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cao looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Cao is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Cao is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Yuudai defends well.
Yuudai throws a big right hand that misses.
Yuudai works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Yuudai passes the guard and advances to mount!
Cao taking shots to the head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Yuudai pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Cao gets back to half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Yuudai is trying for a kimura here. Cao looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Yuudai wins by kimura!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Takeshi Yuudai!

Takeshi Yuudai very nearly forgot to thank XTREME PWNAGE: Down Under! amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
