Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between El Senor Sox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justin Hale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, El Senor Sox!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Justin Hale!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Summer Carpenter and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sox blocks a head kick by Hale.
Sox jabs at Hale's body.
Sox with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Sox cracks a nice hook into Hale's ribs.
Hale tries to clinch
and Sox counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
It looks like Justin Hale has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hale tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Sox manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Sox avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hale shoots in but no luck this time.
Hale drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Hale looks gassed!
Sox cracks Hale with a hook to the temple - Hale is on wobbly legs here! Sox swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Hale falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Sox wins by TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). El Senor Sox!
A determined El Senor Sox didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
