Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Silver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Math Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Anderson Silver!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Math Alves!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Seu Braga and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silver throws a sloppy head kick and Alves moves out of range easily.
Silver really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Alves pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Alves tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Alves circles away from the clinch attempt.
Alves lands with a slapping head kick.

Alves avoids the head kick by Silver.
Silver tries to close the distance and clinch but Alves swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Alves throws a head kick but Silver moves out of range.

Silver shoots in and bounces Alves off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Silver is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Alves has managed to free his arm - good work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silver is looking to take a break and control but Alves is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Silver is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Silver throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Silver wants to pass to mount but Alves is defending the position.
Silver not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Silver is pressing down on Alves's thigh, looking to free his foot. Alves is holding on for now.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Silver is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Silver tries to score a power double leg takedown but Alves sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Silver somewhat.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Silver has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Alves is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

I would just about give that final round to Math Alves.
