Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Danny Cattermole!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Leon Vega!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Colin Fotheringham and Andrew Berry.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cattermole misses with the body kick
and Vega counters with a slapping leg kick.
Vega throws a head kick that half lands.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Cattermole crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Vega - the referee stops the clock and Cattermole gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Vega. Cattermole manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Cattermole moves into the clinch.
Cattermole goes for a takedown attempt but Vega pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Cattermole shoots in looking for a takedown but Vega manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Cattermole's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Cattermole tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Vega manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Cattermole gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Vega is trying to break free.
Vega gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Cattermole.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Danny Cattermole. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Vega wants to stand and escape but instead Cattermole has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cattermole postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Cattermole dives in and grabs Vega's left leg, looking for a takedown. Vega pushes down on Cattermole's head and hops out.

Cattermole is rocked!
Danny Cattermole seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cattermole sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Oh Cattermole is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Vega throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Vega lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

A head kick by Vega - that's a beauty! Cattermole is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Vega can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
