Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Fernando Velasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Stroud (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stroud has chosen Vallenfyre - Iconoclast as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velasquez staying out of range there.
Velasquez lands with a good body shot.

Stroud has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Velasquez.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Stroud.
Velasquez throws a right and a left that both miss.
Velasquez chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Velasquez turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Stroud throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Velasquez scores with a jab to the body.

Stroud tries to close the distance and clinch up but Velasquez swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Stroud is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
