Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hanzo Sasori Hasashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leo Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sasori Hasashi comes to the cage accompanied by Scorpion. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Hanzo Sasori Hasashi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Leo Rua!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Luis Engracia and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Sasori Hasashi as Rua shoots in.
Rua is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Rua throws a head kick that misses.
Rua with a poor takedown
and Rua takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Rua tries to clinch but Sasori Hasashi moves out of range.
Rua shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Sasori Hasashi pinned against the cage. Sasori Hasashi gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Hanzo Sasori Hasashi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leo Rua.
An inside leg kick lands from Sasori Hasashi.
Rua throws a lazy head kick
and Sasori Hasashi counters with a left to the body.
Rua will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Sasori Hasashi works Rua's body with a nice hook.
Horrible takedown by Rua or perhaps it was just good defense by Sasori Hasashi which made him look bad.
Rua closes the distance looking to clinch
and Sasori Hasashi counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Rua looks gassed!

Sasori Hasashi scores with a jab to the head.
Sasori Hasashi paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Sasori Hasashi lands with an uppercut that bounces Rua off the cage and back into range.
A punch lands to the side of Rua 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Sasori Hasashi throws a nice outside leg kick.
Rua throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Sasori Hasashi's head.
Sasori Hasashi gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Rua tries to break free but Sasori Hasashi pushes him back against the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A left hand lands to the body for Sasori Hasashi.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Sasori Hasashi.
Rua tries to pull guard but Sasori Hasashi holds him up against the cage and eventually Rua drops back down to his feet.
Rua goes for a takedown attempt but Sasori Hasashi pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Sasori Hasashi jabs at Rua's body.
Sasori Hasashi fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Rua has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Rua chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Sasori Hasashi can pounce on him.
Leo Rua seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A head kick misses from Rua.
Sasori Hasashi gets a clinch.
Sasori Hasashi lands a shoulder strike.
A short left from Sasori Hasashi.
Rua tries to circle away but Sasori Hasashi has him pinned against the cage.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Sasori Hasashi effectively controlling the action here.
Rua tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Sasori Hasashi smiles and moves away.
Sasori Hasashi lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Rua is rocked!
Sasori Hasashi scores with a leg kick.
Sasori Hasashi stuffs the takedown attempt from Rua. Rua gets slowly back to his feet.
Sasori Hasashi clinches.
Rua tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Sasori Hasashi avoids it.
Come on Sasori Hasashi - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Sasori Hasashi lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Rua letting Sasori Hasashi take a breather here.
Sasori Hasashi seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.
Sasori Hasashi prevents a takedown attempt there.
Rua tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Sasori Hasashi smiles and moves away.
Rua tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sasori Hasashi paws at him with a jab and circles away.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Rua misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Sasori Hasashi punishes Rua's body with a nice straight punch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hanzo Sasori Hasashi dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Sasori Hasashi scores with a jab to the body.
Rua tries to clinch but Sasori Hasashi is having none of it.
Sasori Hasashi throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Rua stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Leo Rua is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Rua misses with a head kick.
A solid leg kick lands there for Sasori Hasashi.
Rua tries to clinch up.
Rua shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sasori Hasashi sprawls well. Sasori Hasashi wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Rua gets slowly back to his feet.
A slapping leg kick lands for Sasori Hasashi.
Rua is breathing heavily.
Sasori Hasashi looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Rua is trying desperately to land a takedown but Sasori Hasashi is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Rua.
Rua is looking to clinch but Sasori Hasashi is avoiding it.

Rua tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Sasori Hasashi swivels and escapes.

and Sasori Hasashi counters with a stiff right hand.
Rua's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Rua tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Sasori Hasashi works the jab nicely.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Sasori Hasashi connects with a nice looking jab.
Rua is still on wobbly legs! Can Sasori Hasashi finish him?
Sasori Hasashi lands with a hook. Rua tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Sasori Hasashi shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Rua eats them both and turns towards Sasori Hasashi to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Sasori Hasashi lands with a nice body punch.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sasori Hasashi thuds a left hand into Rua's body.
Rua drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Rua takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Rua is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Rua looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Hanzo Sasori Hasashi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leo Rua.
Sasori Hasashi connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Rua tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Sasori Hasashi manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Sasori Hasashi is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Rua can do to turn this around?

Rua takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Sasori Hasashi connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Sasori Hasashi cracks Rua with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Rua falls to his knees and Sasori Hasashi doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hanzo Sasori Hasashi!
