Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Marx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Henderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Ryan Marx has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ben Henderson!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Henderson.
Henderson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Ben Henderson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Henderson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Marx circles away.

Henderson darts in and clinches Marx up against the cage.

Henderson gets control of Marx's arms and successfully pulls guard. Henderson will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Henderson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Marx defends well.

Henderson tries to move into range but Marx moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Marx slips a jab from Henderson.
Henderson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Marx is looking to slow Henderson down with leg kicks.
Henderson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Marx paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Henderson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Marx.

and Marx counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Ryan Marx has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ben Henderson.
Henderson is looking to clinch.
Marx cracks Henderson with a good jab.
Marx lands a nice leg kick that just misses Henderson's sensitive parts.
Henderson takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Henderson closes the distance but Marx moves to the side
and Marx counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Henderson shoots in looking for a takedown. Marx tries to sprawl out of it but Henderson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Marx manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Henderson looks gassed!

Henderson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Marx manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Marx.
Henderson throws a sloppy head kick
and Marx counters with a lovely straight right hand!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Ryan Marx is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Henderson doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Marx moves out of range of the body kick from Henderson.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Ryan Marx will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

and Henderson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Henderson tries to close the distance and clinch but Marx swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Henderson is rocked!

Marx is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Henderson flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Henderson is out cold! Marx holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
