Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mauricio Machado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Baki Hanma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machado throws a sloppy head kick and Hanma moves out of range easily.
Machado connects with a leg kick. Hanma looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Machado throws a hook to the side of Hanma's head but Hanma sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Hanma changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Machado looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
The ground and pound from Hanma seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Hanma looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Machado with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hanma connects with a nice short shot to Machado's temple.
