Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shogun Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randall Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Randall Jones is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shogun Rua!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Randall Jones!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Wesley Smith and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Jones fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Jones throws a low kick but Rua moves out of range easily.
Jones will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Jones looks gassed!
Rua shoots in but no luck this time.
Jones tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Rua pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Rua misses with a two punch combination.
Rua fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Jones has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Rua tries to clinch there but Jones circles away.
Rua punishes Jones's body with a nice straight punch.
A slapping leg kick lands for Rua.
Left hook, right uppercut from Rua.
It looks like Randall Jones has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rua lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Rua bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Rua connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Jones some visible discomfort.
Rua landing a few strikes.
Rua wants to stand but Jones has his arm trapped.
Rua looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Jones is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Rua decides to stand back up.
Rua fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Randall Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rua lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Jones is rocked!

and Rua counters with a good, hard body kick but Jones shrugs it off.
Shogun Rua has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Randall Jones.
Rua decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Jones is still in real trouble! Can Rua finish him?
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Rua lands a nice short elbow.
Rua seems to be working for a kimura but Jones defends the submission attempt.
Rua thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Rua landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Rua escapes and gets back to his feet.
Rua goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Rua lands a head kick. Jones smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Rua lands a jab-cross combination.
Rua fails with a takedown attempt.
Rua with a hook.
Rua swats away the attempt to clinch by Jones.
Rua connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Rua plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Rua avoids a punch combination nicely.
Rua moves into range and clinches up with Jones.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jones is trying to break the clinch but Rua has him pressed against the ropes.
Jones is trying to pull guard but Rua turns him against the ropes and we stay in the clinch.
Rua lands a hook to the side of the head.
Rua breaks the clinch.
Jones throws a lazy head kick
and Rua counters with a body kick that stops Jones in his tracks momentarily.
Jones takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Jones tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in the close the distance. Rua manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Rua fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jones avoids it really well and circles away.
Jones seems to have recovered his senses.
Rua misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Rua wants to clinch.
Jones should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Jones moves into the clinch successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jones fails to pull guard.
Rua managing to block the knees to the body from Jones.
Jones avoiding damage as Rua throws knees to the body.
Rua keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Jones's efforts to push away.
Rua breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Rua throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Jones wants to clinch up but Rua keeps it at a distance.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Jones fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Rua sprawls well initially but Jones persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rua misses with some strikes from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shogun Rua dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Randall Jones's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Rua will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Rua tries to bum rush Jones with a series of wild strikes but Jones uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Jones is looking to land body kicks.
Rua cracks Jones with an open hand slap.
The fighters circle, before Rua throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Jones's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Rua lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick & Punches). Shogun Rua!
In his post fight interview, Shogun Rua started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
