Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Wade Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hans Solo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Solo is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Into the great wide open. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Gwen Towbar and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A right-left combo lands from Solo.
Wilson wants to clinch up but Solo keeps it at a distance.
Nice sprawl there from Solo as Wilson shoots in.

Wilson clinches up with Solo and pushes him back against the cage.
Solo working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Wilson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Solo pulls guard successfully.
Solo is looking to stand back up but Wilson counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Solo.
Solo is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Solo wants to control but Wilson postures up.

Wilson stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Solo shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Wilson pinned against the cage. Wilson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Solo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Wilson is fending him off so far but Solo persists. Nope, Wilson circles away and we're back to standing.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Solo feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Solo loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Solo stands up and waves to Wilson to follow him.
Solo throws a push kick but Wilson slaps the foot to one side.
Wilson tries to clinch up.

Wilson wants to clinch up but Solo keeps it at a distance.
Solo fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Wade Wilson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hans Solo.

Nice takedown defense from Solo. No joy for Wilson on that attempt.
Solo wants to clinch up but Wilson keeps it at a distance.

Solo takes the fight into the clinch.
Solo wants to break free but Wilson has control.
Solo lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Solo is trying to break free.
Wilson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Solo smiles and moves away.

Wilson stuffs the takedown attempt from Solo. Solo gets slowly back to his feet.

Wilson has managed to clinch.
Solo wants to break free but Wilson has control.
Solo managing to block the knees to the body from Wilson.

Wilson gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Solo regains guard.
Wilson passes Solo's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Solo is trying to get back to full guard.
Solo preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Wilson is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Solo desperately trying to maintain half guard.

Wilson gets to his feet - back to striking we go!

Wilson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Solo being controlled here, momentarily.
Solo is pulling down on Wilson's head. It's preventing any offense from Wilson, at least for the moment.

Solo looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Solo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Wilson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Wilson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Solo wriggles free and stands up.

Solo bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Solo decides to take the fight back to the feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Wilson has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Solo.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Wilson tries to score with a low kick but Solo moves his leg out of the way.
Solo lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Wilson backs up against the cage.

Wilson is rocked!
Solo lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Wilson is looking to close the distance but Solo sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Wilson crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Wilson is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
