Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dave Summers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Pete Tippin!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Bruno Hogan and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Summers tries to clinch up.
Tippin tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Summers swivels and escapes.

Tippin gets a double leg takedown into Summers's guard.

Summers is looking for a triangle but Tippin pushes his legs off easily.
Tippin prevents Summers from getting back to his feet.

Summers dives in and grabs Tippin's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tippin pushes down on Summers's head and hops out.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Summers in particular looking to stall.

Summers is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Tippin scores with a hook to the body.

Tippin is fighting off a takedown attempt but Summers is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Tippin to the mat. Tippin regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Tippin wants to sweep here but Summers controlling him for the moment.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Dave Summers will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Pete Tippin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Summers's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Tippin feints and then cracks Summers's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Summers down.

Summers changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tippin tries to avoid it but Summers manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tippin to the ground. Tippin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Tippin drives through and clinches with Summers against the cage.
Tippin drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Summers gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Summers stalling in the clinch but Tippin improves position.
Tippin is trying to break the clinch but Summers has him pressed against the cage.
Tippin is trying to maintain a safe position but Summers gets an underhook and turns Tippin into the cage.
Tippin with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Summers is trying to drag Tippin to the mat but Tippin just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Tippin tries to pull guard but Summers holds him up against the cage and eventually Tippin drops back down to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Tippin ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Tippin no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Pete Tippin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Tippin has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
