Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dmitriy Kosarev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Szilveszter Szalay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Szilveszter Szalay looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dmitriy Kosarev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Szilveszter Szalay!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Ben Zyskovitsi and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kosarev gets a clinch.
Szalay looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Szalay tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kosarev swivels and escapes.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Kosarev in particular looking to stall.

Szalay is defending against the submission attempts here by Kosarev.
Szalay has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kosarev is working away from the top position though.
Kosarev is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Kosarev's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Kosarev is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Szalay to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Szalay shrugs it off.

Szalay throws a head kick but Kosarev moves out of range.
Dmitriy Kosarev is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Szalay shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kosarev as he jumps to the side.

Kosarev fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Szalay sprawls well initially but Kosarev persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Still in half guard, Kosarev seems content to control.
Kosarev is nestled in close to Szalay, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Kosarev knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Szalay on the ground.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Dmitriy Kosarev just wasn't active enough.

Kosarev is trying to pull guard but Szalay turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Kosarev has hold of one of Szalay's legs. Szalay is fighting the takedown attempt but Kosarev gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Kosarev slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Kosarev seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Szalay for as long as he can get away with.

Kosarev has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Kosarev changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Szalay looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Kosarev has hold of Szalay's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Szalay manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
