The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Forbes gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Jones throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Forbes tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jones swats him away and circles back towards the center.
No joy there for Jones, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Forbes ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jones moves away.
A looping hook to the body misses from Forbes. Jones does a little dance to reset his feet.

Forbes clinches up against the cage.
Forbes lands a left hand that snaps the head of Jones backwards.
Forbes lands a right hand that snaps the head of Jones backwards.
Forbes lands a hook to the side of the head.
Forbes lands a body shot.
Forbes tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Jones's elbow.
Forbes lands with a light punch inside.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Forbes throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Jones looks gassed!
Forbes lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Forbes lands with a short shot to the head.
Forbes working some nice short punches in the clinch.

Forbes stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Jones prevents a body shot from Forbes.
Forbes slows down the pace here.

Forbes drops Jones onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Jones is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

Jones is rocked!
Forbes dips a shoulder and cracks Jones with a mighty uppercut! Jones falls back against the cage and Forbes unloads with a barrage of strikes! Jones is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Forbes screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
