The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ma misses with a hook.
Ma misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Douillet.
Douillet shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ma pinned against the cage. Ma gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Douillet keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Douillet connects with a nice short shot to Ma's temple.
Douillet thows a huge punch but Ma dodges it nicely.
Ma is looking to improve his position.
Douillet wants to pass the guard but Ma is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ma is squirming around, avoiding Douillet's attempts to control the action.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ma can do anything to dispel that myth.

Ma wants to hold on but Douillet pushes him away.
Douillet fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Douillet has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Douillet lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Ma is rocked!

It looks like Sougetsu Ma has been cut.

Douillet postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Ma out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Douillet goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!
