Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yukihiro Shimada and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gresham blocks a head kick by Vega.
Gresham bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Vega is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Gresham's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Vega misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Gresham is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Vega defends it well.
Vega is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Gresham's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Gresham's back!
Vega controlling well, preventing Gresham from escaping the position.
Vega trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
Gresham is taking damage to the body and head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vega is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Gresham has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Vega is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Gresham is defending well though. Vega let's go of the attempt for now.

A lull in the action here.
Vega lands a punch to the side of the head from the back.
Vega has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Vega is punishing Gresham with some ground and pound.
Vega has his arm under Gresham's chin here. Game over son! Vega squeezes tightly and Gresham is forced to tap out!
