The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rigs rushes Frangote and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Frangote tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Rigs just stands there and leans against the cage.
Frangote goes for a takedown attempt but Rigs pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Rigs lands a head kick!

It looks like Netinho Frangote has been cut.
Rigs slaps away a takedown attempt from Frangote, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Fray Rigs has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Netinho Frangote.

Rigs with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Rigs takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Rigs is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Rigs is taking a breather. Frangote says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Frangote is defending against the submission attempts here by Rigs.
Rigs working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Rigs is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Frangote can do to turn this around?

Rigs landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Rigs lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Rigs is controlling the pace.
Rigs looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Frangote with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Frangote is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

Frangote is trying to defend against the choke here but Rigs has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Rigs Tightens the hold and Frangote taps out furiously! Rigs displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
