Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Flavio Panday (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aaron Gardner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gardner has chosen Stavesacre - Minuteman as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Flavio Panday!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Aaron Gardner!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Joseph Jones and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Panday lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.


It looks like Aaron Gardner has been cut.
Gardner throws a series of punches but Panday moves out of range.

Gardner drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Panday parries the strikes from Gardner easily there. Gardner is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Panday to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gardner cracks Panday with a big right hand but Panday just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Panday knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gardner on the ground.
Gardner grinds an elbow into Panday's temple.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Gardner scores with a couple of short elbows.
Panday seems a little lost for a moment, as Gardner dominates the positioning.
Panday tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Gardner easily slips into full mount!
Gardner throwing strikes here but Panday is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Panday is looking to get to half guard.
Gardner has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Panday manages to work a leg through to get back to half guard here. Good work there by Panday, under a barage of strikes from Gardner.

Gardner looks to land a strike but Panday avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Gardner wants to control from the top but Panday keeps moving.
Gardner is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Aaron Gardner.
Panday tries to score with a low kick but Gardner moves his leg out of the way.
Panday thows a body shot but no joy.
Nice uppercut there from Panday.
Gardner misses with the combination.
Panday dodges the punch combination from Gardner.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Panday feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Gardner's calf.
Panday tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gardner was well out of range. Poor timing from Panday.
Panday scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Gardner throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Panday misses with a series of wild punches.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Panday drops Gardner with a beautiful combination! Gardner stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Panday is looking for the KO!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Flavio Panday will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Aaron Gardner's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Gardner is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Panday moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Flavio Panday!
