Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Igor Prikhodko and Konstantin Menshow.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Acosta fails to land the takedown.
Acosta is looking to clinch but McCormack is avoiding it.
Acosta chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before McCormack can pounce on him.
Acosta throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

McCormack shoots in and bounces Acosta off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
McCormack trying to control the position from guard on top but Acosta is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Acosta not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Acosta has a closed guard, preventing McCormack from standing up.

McCormack trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

McCormack looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Acosta puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Acosta wants to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McCormack wants to pass to mount but Acosta is defending the position.
McCormack wants to lay and pray for a moment but Acosta keeps working.
McCormack really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Acosta. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

McCormack shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Acosta's guard.

Acosta is looking for a triangle but McCormack pushes his legs off easily.

McCormack is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Acosta is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Acosta has escaped and now he's on top!
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Acosta is in close to McCormack's body, working some short punches and elbows.

McCormack wants to improve his position but instead Acosta has moved into half guard.
McCormack is staying active underneath Acosta, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

McCormack is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Acosta is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! McCormack is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
